What makes Libby Ann’s Quilts and Blankets different?

Simply, the quality. Premium blankets made from a traditionally- trained quilter. We only use luxury fabrics from top designers. We want your child to fall in love with his/her quilt and use it—a lot! With a lot of use comes the need to wash it frequently, which can be hard on fabric. Not with a Libby Ann Quilt. We only purchase the best premium minky, satin and thread so that your child’s special blanket will wash beautifully for years to come.

Care instructions

All of our blankets are machine washable in cold water, dry on low or hang dry. Please do not iron or use fabric softener as it will flatten the soft minky fabric.

What is a Baby Lovey / Security Blanket?

A lovey, or security blanket, is simply a familiar blanket that a young child holds to provide them comfort. In our family we call them our ‘little blankies’. Whatever you call them, they are wonderful and every child should have one!

We started introducing our children to their little blankets when they were about 6 months old. They would hold their blankie while in our arms at feeding time. We choose a small blanket for each of them with soft textures such as minky and satin. We wanted them to have something special and snuggly to provide them familiar comfort when Mom and Dad wasn’t able to be there to soothe them.

Because they are small they are ideal for childcare, the car, and to tuck in your diaper bag while out and about!

Custom Orders

If you have a request, we'd love to work with you to create a blanket that is a special piece just for you. Together, we can make small revisions like changing the color of the backing fabric or adding or removing a satin ruffle. We can even start fresh with a whole new print. We source the majority of our prints from Spoonflower.com if you want to take a look at what they have. Please note, that currently I’m unable to make changes to the wording on my fabrics.

Do you Accept Returns?

We do accept returns of all ready to ship, non personalized items. Please contact us within 3 days of delivery and ship the item back within 7 days of delivery. Once we have received the item back we will issue a refund for the purchase price minus shipping cost. Shipping costs on returns are the buyer’s responsibility, unless the return is a result of an error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.)

Ruffles for boys?

YES!!! There are so many amazing sensory feels that an infant can experience with my ruffled blankets. Please don’t let your little boys not experience that texture because ‘ruffles are only for girls’, because they aren’t! The satin on my boys blankets are their favorite part about them. Embrace the ruffle!

Gift Wrapping and Packaging

We are happy to send your gift directly to the gift recipient. At checkout please enter their address as the 'ship to' address, and leave a gift message in the box at checkout. Gift wrapping is also available for an additional charge.

Fabric Swatches

Colors can vary based on the lighting when the blanket was photographed and the screen you are viewing the photo on. Considering your options and want to see what the fabric colors look like in your nursery? Just message us with what you are interested in and we would be happy to send you a fabric swatch at no cost. Printed fabric swatches are limited to availability, but solid dot minky colors are always available.
